DOTZ DD2.JZ – “Interior to the point.”

The interior is getting ready!

Once again, Christian and Dominic meet in the workshop at DOTZ grounds to finally complete the interior. The screwing of the roll cage, the installation of the door trim and other essential interior parts on the plan will be taken care of.

The technicians start with the installation of the door panels. Like many other parts, these too were covered with beautiful Alcantara. Christian and Dominic are both keen on detail loyalty and so they decide to put the entire locking mechanism, all covers and switches true to the original into the doors again.

For visual reasons, speedometer and buttons for the Haltech instruments display get relocated. Christian plans to install these controls outside of the field of view at the bottom of the dashboard.

This is followed by the installation of the original speaker covers, which have been edited by the two car enthusiasts so that the Takata straps can be pushed through.

The roll cage was screwed inside the interior and fastened in the last part of the series. Now the technicians face the final connection to the body.

Finally, the two Bride bucket seats are mounted in their proper place. Thus, the works on the interior are completed, which greatly pleases the two technicians. The innumerable details that were taken into consideration during installation leave a very special impression on anyone behind the wheel of the DD2.JZ.
