This is what the new Alcantara looks like inside the interior!
In this part of the DD2-JZ series the joy is particularly great because the saddler has finally finished all works on the interior parts. Dominic and Christian are ready to visually improve the DD2.JZ.
Early in the morning, Christian sets off to pick up the interior parts completed by the saddler. The design of the parts has been adapted to the exact specifications of the technicians and fitted with elegant Alcantara. Also, the seams are color coordinated perfectly.
Back in the workshop Christian and Dominic neatly arrange all the parts so that the two can easily get an overview. Then they decide to begin with the installation of the roof liner.
Sensitivity is required, as the Alcantara-covered roof liner must be carefully fitted over the roll bar.
Also, the B column covers needs to be attached to its original position. These were also covered with Alcantara leather. The green and red stitching was deliberately chosen for the design inside the vehicle.
That center console, which previously had to be so tediously adapted to fit the flyoff handbrake, is also installed in the interior space again.
The installation of the door panels is part of the following step.
After all interior parts are in place, the two take care of the roll bar screwing. After a short time, however, the two decide to postpone the screwing of the unruly security cell until next time due to lack of time.
