DOTZ DD2.JZ – “The design concept”

It has power, now the aesthetics follow

This week, Christian and Stefan set off for the Hot Rod Hangar to conceptualize the design of the DD2.JZ together with Dominic Tiroch. Both already have some ideas about the colors and eyecatchers for the BMW.

The design concept

Dominic’s office is inside the Hot Rod hangar. There they intend to develop a virtual implementation of their design concepts with the help of a video game console. Details about the preferred color choice and other aspects such as the stripes and colour gradations are the main focus of their considerations.

The design concept

To make the DD2.JZ unique, Christian ordered a new Slekdesign body kit from America. It is characterized by full carbon, wide body and a large rear lip spoiler.

Especially two colors will be used later. On the one hand the Takata green of the 6-point belts plays a central role. It will be painted from the rear to the carbon-fiber hood with one gradient. On the other hand, the two want to set a further color accent with the help of golden rims.

The design concept

After successful planning, the three visit a well-known upholsterer to discuss all the details about the interior design. Alcantara, contrast stiching and other details are commissioned. Soon the results can be admired in their full glory.
